Personal Health Tracking App
MoonEcho
Discover the relationship between what you eat and
how you feel.
MoonEcho is a mobile web app that helps users record daily
meals and health conditions in one continuous flow. Over time, the
collected data can reveal patterns between food intake and
physical discomfort.

Project Overview
Many digestive issues, inflammation symptoms, and recurring discomforts may be related to
diet. However, people often rely on memory when trying to identify potential triggers.
MoonEcho creates a simple daily record of meals and body conditions, helping users build
long-term evidence for personal health insights.
The Problem
Food and symptom records are often
separated, inconsistent, or forgotten.
The Goal
Make daily meal and health tracking fast
enough to complete in under one minute.
The Outcome
A photo-first tracking workflow with health
status logging, meal history, and calendar
review.
Core User Flow
The interface is designed as a clear step-by-step
journey, from logging how the user feels to saving a
meal and reviewing historical records.
1
Log health status
Select today’s condition, such as healthy, diarrhea, inflammation, or
other symptoms.
2
Add meal record
Use the primary action button to capture a meal photo or upload from
the photo library.
3
Review and categorize
Confirm the image, edit the food name, and assign breakfast, lunch, or
dinner.
4
Analyze history
Review meals and health records by date to identify repeated patterns
over time.

Key Features
MoonEcho combines behavior tracking and health status tracking into
one unified system.
Photo-first meal logging to reduce manual input.
Daily health status selection for structured symptom data.
Meal type categorization for cleaner analysis.
Calendar-based history for reviewing past records.
Online data storage for long-term tracking.
Future AI Opportunity
“You experienced digestive discomfort more often after meals containing dairy
or fried food.”
As more data is collected, MoonEcho can evolve from a tracking tool into a personal health
intelligence platform, helping users identify potential food sensitivities, recurring symptom
patterns, and lifestyle correlations.
Design Reflection
The main design challenge was balancing data accuracy with low-effort daily use. By making
photos the primary input and keeping health logging lightweight, the app encourages
consistency while still producing structured data for future analysis.
