Crafted from integrated bamboo materials, the base, inner and outer rings, halo, and bamboo-veneer lampshade express the material through different thicknesses. Each transformation creates a new relationship between light and shadow.
The bamboo construction and warm-hued lighting create a cozy atmosphere. Bluetooth speakers connect to a phone for white noise or music, while a rear power and charging port supports wireless use once charged.
User experience research showed that people expect a smart desk lamp to balance aesthetics and ease of use. The result combines a tactile physical form with mobile-app remote control.
